Catherine pitches ideas suited to a publication’s theme and tone and accepts assignments generated in-house. Her thorough reporting, close attention to detail, imaginative voice and fresh ideas yield 200- to 2,000-word articles. Copy editing
Catherine edits newspapers, magazines and web sites with an eye for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and, most importantly, clarity. She will also do a limited amount of rewriting for brevity and coherence. She can match her voice to the current content or another tone and will adhere to the publication’s personality.
Story editing
Catherine guides an article from its inception as a pitch through several edits and into a polished final project ready for publication. She focuses on crafting a unique angle, timeliness, compelling narrative and colorful personalities. She sends the writer revision notes and make final changes before sending the story to a top editor.
